About Me

Wilde Traditions is my effort to sustain an income by simply doing what I love. I have a natural affinity for textiles that began years ago after taking delivery on a rather large and unassembled weaving loom. I have been pursuing textile art in various forms ever since.

Recently, my focus shifted unxpectedly as I began exploring the possibilities of fabric-based jewelry. I started by tinkering with patterned fabric beads and pendants, which I had never seen before. Soon, I had developed my own style of jewelry using textile patterns in combination with silver, gemstones, and quality glass beads. I've been overwhelmed by the positive response to these pieces, and have since decided to make them available for sale both in jewelry stores and on this web site.

In general my taste runs to elegant simplicity, but there's also a whimsical element to much of what I do. Each piece is individually conceived and assembled, following whim rather than a production plan. As a result, no two pieces are ever exactly alike.

My studio is in my earthen home outside of Austin, Texas (in Georgetown) where my family and I llive with two dogs, three cats, and a variety of domestic birds.
